Healing Los Angeles Together

Community-Led Homeless Services in LA County

Los Angeles County spends billions addressing the crisis on our streets. So why are 72,195 of our neighbors still sleeping on the concrete? Because the bureaucratic systems claiming to solve the crisis are the same systems that created the cracks people fall through.

We are Healing Los Angeles Together. Founded by residents who have survived the streets, overcome addiction, and navigated the reentry system, we do not just see the gaps in the safety net—we fell through them. Now, we are the ones filling them. Not with pity or traditional charity, but with power, dignity, and community-led action.

The system is broken. The community is not. Are you ready to build something that actually works?

Our Mission

Filling the Gaps in LA's Safety Net
For years, we have partnered with individuals navigating homelessness, substance use disorders, immigration barriers, and the grueling realities of the carceral reentry system. Notice the word partnered. We do not work for marginalized populations; we work with our neighbors. As equals. As community.
We envision a united Los Angeles where trauma is met with trauma-informed care, where addiction is met with harm reduction rather than incarceration, and where every resident is treated as a vital piece of the city's puzzle. We are repairing the cracks in the pavement so no one else gets lost in them.

Transformation Narrative

See the Transformation Your Support Makes Possible

“When the inflation hit, my pension wasn’t enough to cover rent and groceries. I was terrified of government forms and the shame of standing in a breadline. Healing Los Angeles Together didn’t ask for my papers or my ID. They handed me a bag of fresh food and asked my name. Three months later, I stopped coming to get food and started coming to hand it out. This isn’t a charity. This is my family.”
— Elena, Inglewood Resident and Current HLAT Volunteer
