A Meaningful Partnership: Thank You to Circle for Justice Innovations

We are deeply honored to announce that Healing Los Angeles Together Inc. has received a $7,500 grant from Circle for Justice Innovations (CJI). This generous funding will serve as the backbone for our Mercy Seat Immigration Advocacy Program, strengthening our ability to serve our community and advance our critical work.

With this vital support, we are expanding our reach to provide the community with:

• Know Your Rights Trainings to empower individuals with crucial legal knowledge.

• Collaborative Workshops bringing together mental health practitioners and legal aid advocates.

• Comprehensive Bilingual Support to ensure language is never a barrier to justice.

This grant allows us to help our immigrant community safely navigate legal systems, process the heavy burdens of stigma and fear, address mental health challenges, and secure the legal support they deserve.

A Mission Rooted in Lived Experience

For Herminia Galvez, CEO of Healing Los Angeles Together, this initiative is profoundly personal. As the daughter of immigrants, she knows firsthand the harsh realities of navigating legal challenges with little to no understanding or assistance. She has witnessed the struggles of families surviving without government support and fighting daily just to secure consistent nutrition.

Our founder's life has been deeply impacted by seeing her parents denied their natural, unalienable rights and stripped of the resources needed to thrive. It is for this reason that Herminia embraces this opportunity with profound gratitude. She leads this work to uplift her community in the loving memory of her mother, who never had the opportunity to access these life-changing services.

Our Commitment: Immigration Support in Times of Crisis

In the spirit of mutual aid and community defense championed by CJI, Healing Los Angeles Together extends a general offer of support for Immigration Support in times of crisis. When our immigrant communities face sudden crackdowns, policy shifts, or acute emergencies, we stand ready to deploy our bilingual resources, mental health first aid, and legal advocacy networks. We are here not just to build long-term resilience, but to stand on the frontlines alongside our partners when urgent, crisis-level support is required.
